The Belview container terminal was opened in 1994 and is called the Port of Waterford, but is infact in County Wexford. The terminal is both road and rail served. Bell Lines was a major Irish Rail customer here which ceased operating in 1997, which began a long decline in container traffic on rail. Thankfully however Norfolk Line has established a rail service here between Waterford and Ballina. I do not know the times of these trains from Belview though.
