Railway Stations D » Dromahair

Dromahair, Co.Sligo, on the former SLNCR line between Sligo and Enniskillen. The SLNCR line closed completely in 1957, and the tracks were lifted a few years later. Dromahair station buildings remain. The main stone station building, originally single story, but gained a second in railway days, has lost its canopy, but the single platform survives at least. Behind the station, the goods shed, which retains its canopy remains, but the railway side of it is heavily overgrown. At the end of the platform at the Enniskillen end is the base of the typical Saxby & Farmers SLNCR signal cabin also. There a re a few 'railway' like buildings adjacent to the station, but its unclear whether they were directly linked to the station.
