Railway Stations K » Killurin

Killurin station is located between Wexford and Enniscorthy on the main Rosslare-Dublin line. The station opened with the line to a temporary terminus north of Wexford(Carcur) in 1872. The station once boasted both up & down platforms, a signal cabin and goods shed, but by 1964, the station only retained its up platform and it was downgraded to halt. Since closure in that year, the brick station building has remained largely intact, it's now a private residence. South of the station is Killurin tunnel, adjacent to the River Slaney, where numerous attacks were made on trains during the civil war in 1922.
