Ballyheady
Ballyheady, Co.Leitrim, was a small halt on the Cavan & Leitrim narrow gauge line between Ballinamore & Belturbet which opened in the 1887. The halt keepers house at Ballyheady, built of stone and brick, is typical of the type constructed for small halts on the C&L network. Ballyheady also retains a small corrugated iron shed, a feature located at many these stops. The C&L railway was closed completely by CIE in 1959.
